Sometimes the rewards of rescue are great. Taking in that unwanted little one and then finding it a wonderful, loving home has got to be one of the greatest feelings in the world. But sometimes, rescue hurts.

I brought in a 15 year old girl, Razzle, last April. I took her from the Western PA Humane Society (they had the nerve to charge me $100 for her plus lied about her age). I knew Razzle wasn't longed for this world. I took her straight to my vet. Razz had a lot of health issues. Dr. O gave me meds and we nursed Razzle to adequate health. I really thought she would be with us for awhile. She started failing this week. I took her back to Dr. O. Poor little Razz was just too old and too weak to fight. Razz left me today. Everytime these little ones leave, they take a piece of my heart. This is something you never get used to and it never stops hurting.

Razzle, be with God.

These are from knitty.com. It is the fuzzy feet pattern. It is the first time I felted and it went very easily. Wool is 100% shetland wool.

I made this for my friend, Karen. It is done in Lion Brand Homespun "Tudor". The pattern is cast on 60; P 5 rows; pattern:P5(YO K2tog across), P5. P 3 rows and repeat the pattern and P 5 rows to end.

Here is the neverending poncho. This is done in Lyon Wool-Ease double yarn, seed stitch. It has a hood but my niece didn't want the hood. My sister is modeling the poncho (she didn't know I was going to put it on the net). Anita loves the poncho and wants one for herself with a hood.
